SECRET LIVES is a four-piece rock ’n roll band from Marin County, CA, whose solid mix of hard-rocking originals and crowd-pleasing covers brings an electric charge to every show. Founded by lead guitarist and singer Gene Immendorf, the band released their self-titled debut SECRET LIVES EP on June 4, 2021...listen below!

Gene Immendorf has spent the last thirty years writing and performing his own original songs. He grew up on classic rock and mixes in an 80s new wave style with his alternative rock guitar playing.

Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Gene has played with a variety of bands and musicians since grade school, including Intersection and The Gene Immens Project. He formed his original Secret Lives band in 2000 and released several CDs while performing all over Marin. In 2019 he re-formed this exciting new version of SECRET LIVES with vocalist Kristen Kohary, drummer Brian Fleischer, and bassist Ben Lang.

Kristen Kohary began her musical journey early. She already knew as a child singing weekly performances with her choir that the soulful vibrations resonating from her tiny skull were going to be a part of her life’s ride. She writes music and lyrics and has performed with a variety of artists and musical acts in the pop, rock, soul, and alternative genres. Kristen Kohary is also a talented textile artist that specializes in making one-of-a-kind accessories for humans and home with her company Scarf Spree.

Drummer Brian Fleischer was born and raised in Mexico City, and has been playing drums and annoying parents since getting his first set at age 10. Entirely self-taught, Brian Fleischer’s influences include John Bonham, Neal Peart, Matt Sorum, Kenny Aronoff, and the not-so-guilty pleasure he gets from 80s hair band music. He has been in multiple original and cover bands throughout his career, and with Secret Lives he lays down concrete rock rhythms and thumping grooves for the rest of the band.

Bassist Ben Lang has played with several Northern California bands in the Bay Area and Chico, CA, including Biv and the Mnemonics (aka Roy G Biv & The Mnemonic Devices), Azalea Drive, and The Devil’s Chord. As a solo artist, Ben Lang performs every Friday at the Le Chalet Basque restaurant in San Rafael, CA, or at the occasional show, party, wedding, or open mic around town. His debut solo release Modern Man EP was released to critical acclaim and is available now everywhere music is streamed and sold.
